This is a combination meditation and pointing. It introduces surrender for the meditator, which goes beyond simply accepting things as they are– it’s all ultimately about surrendering even your sense of presence and giving it back to the universe or the absolute.
This is not an abstract philosophical notion. So this meditation’s purpose is to bring it down to earth, close and immediate, to get the point.
Now is not the time to get hung up on theories and wording and phrasing– everyone has different favorite words, or some with associations they don’t like.
In this contemplation I use the words “the universe” and “everything” and “all…” but you could substitute God, Spirit, or anything else.
But the words don’t matter… just sit back and follow the contemplation of what is, and there drink in the encouragement to surrender your body and mind, even the most intimate sense of presence, and return it all to the universe to which it belongs. This is beyond and despite any words.
Life takes care of life.
