Learn the Art of Self-Inquiry
In what it is perhaps the most direct and simple spiritual practice of all, here you will go straight to the search for the Self.
It is very simply to ask, What am I?
Yet this is not searching for a verbal answer, but the answer just as it appears to you. Once you begin exploring who or what you are in this way, life is experienced in a broader context.
This requires some sincere seeking-- if there is a truth about you, it is true now. It's not something you will build up to or attain in the future. It's true now. It has always been so. What is true now?
Through this series of inquiries, spending some time really checking things out, you will be introduced to self-inquiry and clarify what this is all about, to become more and more certain and aligned with what is confirmed by your own looking, and less subject to the fleeting winds of stories and images built up in the mind about who we think we are, which may be temporarily useful but not as certain or stable.
