Awakening Being Module 7

Letting Go of the Need to Know
and Our Relationship to Thought

Our relationship to thoughts changes when we come more clearly into our true position. This position is more liberating than any attempt to stop thinking.

Yet, we can't know our true position like we can know any other object. That's because we are here, and the objects that we know are there. We can't be known in the same way. Our need to know things, which is also behind our grasping at thoughts, doesn't quite work here.

But then again it does, because as a practice we can actually redirect our need to know right back to the source, to the one who is here. The one who is here bests this need to know. It is the greater one.

In this module we explore this meeting, with meditations that work with our relationship to thinking, diverting our need to know toward the stream that our beingness flows along, without needing to know where it goes, entering the stream of life, innocent and unknowing, and leaving the flurry of thought behind.
