Change the Flavor of Your Life by Playing with Your Inner Mental Attitude

The "Inner Mental Attitude" refers to the way in which we are relating to everything that is going on. It is something we are not typically aware of without checking, but once we look into it, find we can become aware of. So one aspect of Inner Mental Yoga is discovery.

But as soon as we are aware of it, we'll start modifying it, automatically. We're always interacting with our experience, either automatically or deliberately.

"Inner Yoga Postures" are one way to do it consciously and deliberately. Now, we can, and should, just use our intuition to play with the Inner Mental Attitude and do what feels best, and feel our way into it. But sometimes we can bring a bit of form and structure to this play.

That's where "Inner Yoga" comes in. We play with the attitude in certain forms because they help us to become more flexible, pliable, skillful, and intimate with this crucial level of our experience. Everything about our experience changes when we shift the Inner Mental Attitude. It is a fantastic life skill.

Change your attitude, change your life.

Sometimes adopting these forms will lead from a feeling of posturing and adopting to something that feels real. There's a reason for that-- the inner yoga postures are based on aspects of the Self that emanate naturally from it's unseeable formlessness and into the realm of our dynamic form. So there is a potential in Inner Mental Yoga not only to transform your experience in life, which is great, but also feel your way into your beingness, which is very great.
