The sense of presence is natural, and right here in the fact that you know you exist. You sense that you are.
Start with this sense, and don’t doubt that you can start, because there is nothing you have to do. You are.
It is no distance from you, so resist any thought that says you can’t find it. And don’t let whatever sense of your presence, that you do have, mix with complicated ideas about who you are in life or what you want to get spiritually or what you want to attain. That’s all pointing away. Just rest with what is. A subtle vibration, perhaps. That’s all.
When the mind creeps in with doubts like “where is it?” pay no mind to this noise and remain as “I Am.”
Or if trivial and random things come to mind, no problem, just have the simple sense of “I Am” come more prominently forward.
This works just fine without a guided meditation, so repeat this one often in untimed silent sittings of about 5 minutes or so, here and there.
If you keep that up in your life moving forward, at first it may seem like some work to switch from doubts and thoughts pointing away from “I Am” but very soon the fact that your presence is effortless will become more and more confirmed in your body/mind and attention will come to love this “I Am.”
Then what is will remain prominent and primary, with very little defending needed.
Before you are anything, You Are
remain in the subtle vibration of “I am”
